Stuart Main

Stewart Main who died recently was a long standing member of the Liberal Democrats in Baildon. A memorial service for Stewart will be held on September 27th at St John's Parish Church Baildon at 1 pm,

John Cole who knew Stewart for many years writes:

For years I played cricket with Stewart Main and knew that if, when batting, he nicked the ball to the keeper, he would "walk" before the umpire had raised his finger.

That was the mark of the man - a person of great integrity. It was how he lived his life.

He was a good Liberal - committed to fairness and equality. In Baildon there are few letterboxes that have not at some time had Stewart pushing a "Focus" through.

We are richer for having known him and will miss him
